MEET....ME

Hey..I'm Nic..welcome to my (very pink!) blog! I am a 20 something (alright nearer 30) year old wife with a passion not just for my husband but for Chick Lit. Accountant by day come chick lit obsessed readaholic by night.

I love reading, since a very young girl I have had a passion for curling up with a good book and a cup of tea, just like my Mum :-) Taking yourself away from the day to day norm and placing yourself in this imaginary world with amazing characters and unforgettable stories. This is the reason I wanted to start my very own blog. With a bookcase bursting at the seams and repeatedly recommending my favourite reads to my Friends and Family I thought it was about time I started my own blog to share my ever growing book opinions with the cyber world.

I would be more than happy to hear and receive books to review from authors and publishers and promise to read as many as I possibly can. I am willing to receive these either hard copy or Kindle copy. If you want to get in touch then please email me on novel.cafe@yahoo.co.uk or tweet me @thenovel_cafe. I look forward to hearing from you. I hope to post my reviews on my Facebook and Twitter pages and eventually Goodreads once I get in the swing of this blogging malarkey.

I have and always will be an honest person which I will portray in my reviews. Obviously I appreciate that these opinions are mine and not everyone will share them, however I feel my ever growing library puts me in a good position to share these opinions. This said please don't be offended if I don't enjoy a read, it doesn't mean somebody else won't. I will rate books on a scale of 1-10 as follows:

1/2  - (Soggy Bottom bake - may look good but is rubbish)
Couldn't even bring myself to finish the book, not for me or, I believe, anybody else!

3/4 - ( Fruit cake - Not one I would pick but if I had to eat it then I could force it down)
Managed to finish it but pretty poor, would not recommend.

5/6 - (Jam Doughnut - Pretty plain but once you start it never lets you down)
Not a bad book. Not amazing but worth a read.

7/8- (Chocolate Brownie- traditional favourite, everybody loves it, never quite enough)
Good book, great story line - would recommend, just that little something missing.

9/10 - (Novel Cafe Cupcake - Every bodies favourite, no one could possibly say no)
Fabulous read. Couldn't put it down. Would read again tomorrow. AMAZING!

If you are in love with Chick Lit as much as me I hope you will enjoy visiting The Novel Cafe.

Lots of love
Happy reading

Nic xxxx
